The book elucidates the art of tent pegging which originated nearly 500 years ago and was adopted by cavalry regiments as a form of sport using the sword and the javelin by carefully analysing the sport and the light armoury and weaponry used by the Saharan desert nomads whom use mobility and Arabian horses unique characteristics of speed, stamina, and agility to their advantage in cavalry.
